this package is orphan but is needed by: fwbuilder, libfwbuilder, hplip, hpoj, php-snmp. So I am assigning this to their maintainers.

net-snmp 5.5-4 has ipv6 support; please let me know if that works for you.

if ipv6 enabled snmpd crashing with 'segmentation fault'

I had the same problem on all of my Arch servers.
The solution that partizan suggested fixed the problem.
I removed --enable-ipv6 from the PKGBUILD file, recompiled and everything worked fine.
I was running the net-snmp Arch 5.5-4 package and a variety of kernel26 2.6.33 Arch packages.

As this package is still unmaintained I have to remove ipv6 support for now.
