actually it looks like all versions of openoffice depend on libicuuc.so.42

downgrading to the previous icu is not possible because libwebkit requires the latest version of icu
if i downgrade icu to 4.2.1-1 and libwebkit to 1.1.90-1

then openoffice loads but generates error "Internal read error" while loading document

My system:
Arch linux up to date (pacman -Syu run on 4-11-10)
arch: i686

on the other hand openoffice-base generates error while loading:
** (soffice:4841): WARNING **: unable to get gail version number

note added:
after logging out and logging back, openoffice-base works. So it seems that only issue is openoffice-base-devel.

Thanks, and sorry, for so many useless posts.
