Description:

Since when playing with PKGBUILDs, often the makepkg -g >> PKGBUILD command is very useful,
why don't set up PKGBUILDs by default with the md5sum array at the end of the file itself, instead of having them in the usual position, just before the build{} section?

Maybe a function can be also added in makepkg for updating the md5sums directly.

Generating md5sums like that is not very useful, since it doesn't verify anything. Corrupted files won't get noticed. IMHO checksums should always be added/checked by hand. When I update GNOME packages, I always use sha256sums from the announcement mails.

I understand that md5sums are there because of security reasons. Also for this reason these checks have been made non-optional (like before).
Anyway, I was just a proposal for saving some time for who, like me, mantains some PKGBUILDs for personal use or also for the AUR, etc.

Anyway, feel free to close this feature request if no one finds this interesting or useful ;)

For functionality it doesn't matter if md5sums are top or bottom, the last md5sums definition is taken into account.
