A bunch of other stuff in there too, and I am not sure how much of it is needed. Might be worth a look at least, if you haven't already.
The other option would be to seperate the mysql daemon from the mysql client libs, and have a package for each. I believe that is how many other distros do it.
To the extent that I can be helpful with any of this, I'm about to have a substantial need for postfix+postgresql+sasl in the near future, and I'm going to be able to devote some time to doing this at work, I think. Seems as though we may as well pool efforts/experiences.
I'm finally ready to jump ship on qmail and switch to postfix!
