Description:
Imagine my dismay when I install via wifi only to discover on first boot that my system can't connect to the network because wireless_tools is missing! At least one other person has recently been burned by this (http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=91260). Please consider adding wireless_tools to the set of packages installed by default. Additional info: * Installed using the 2009.08 netinstall image, downloaded here (ftp://ftp.archlinux.org/iso/2009.08/archlinux-2009.08-netinstall-i686.img.torrent) April 2010 Steps to reproduce: Install base and base-devel default packages, reboot, login, iwconfig not found. |

wpa_supplicant shouldn't be part of the base group as it is
hardware specific. See
