Details

When running netstat -s, there is always an error:
error parsing /proc/net/snmp: Success

I found a solution here: <http://kerneltrap.org/mailarchive/linux-netdev/2007/11/10/401462/thread>.

Attached is a patch to remove this error.

This bug is years-old but still valid.
RedHat seems to have fixed it, I've looked for more info online and found this: http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHBA-2009-1677.html
They increased the buffer from 1024 to 2048 bytes in statistics.c:process_fd() just like in the proposed patch.
