It would be really nice to have lirc support built into
mplayer. The only change to the current pkgbuild would be to
add "--enable-lirc --enable-lircc" to the current
./configure line.
I've got a preliminary lirc package now, it includes the ati-usb driver (I figure it would be the most common, I will see if I can include multiple drivers) Here's the lirc package just in case it is required: http://www.mstcforum.com/projects/arch/packages/lirc-0.7.0-2.pkg.tar.gz |

There is a file for it in the incoming directory, lirc-0.7.0-3-arch.tar.gz
It includes all the files, as well as the binary.
