DetailsAs of samba 3.5.1 samba won't start on both of my headless servers without avahi installed
error: error while loading shared library /usr/lib/libavahi-common.so.3 which belongs to avahi. Installing avahi solves the problem. Please add this dependency. |

samba doesn't link at all to avahi, but instead to cups. so be sure you do pacman -Syu before as you need libcups/cups 1.4.2-5

libcups was installed. But I agree, avahi should have been installed as a dependency to libcups. Looks like the systems were screwed up in some way. You may close this bug. Accept my apologies for any inconvenience ;-)
