This also happens to me.

Disabling DRI it seems to solve it, although it's not a solution as the 3D acceleration gets disabled and 3D goes much sloooower.

Try to do this:

Section "Module"
disable "dri"
Load "dbe"
Load "extmod"
Load "type1"
Load "freetype"
Load "glx"
EndSection

Best regards. David.

David, thanks for answer.
Unfortunately, disabling DRI doesn't solve it for me. But when I disabled it, my 3D have not made slower

do you try latest Xorg + nvidia drivers? or your GPU is not supported?
Comment by dmitry (Dr.X) - Friday, 09 July 2010, 08:20 GMT
Now nvidia-173xx for GPU not supported and I use nouveau. It partly solve this problem, but in nouveau are bugs - after switching and logouting users resolution falls to 800x600, somehow after logouting one of user other user also logouts when all users have 800x. Generally, very unstable thing.
Yes, I have latest Xorg.
