Nope, restarting dbus didn't work sadly.

Works here. Did you try a clean config?
Comment by André Fettouhi (A.Fettouhi) - Sunday, 14 March 2010, 08:39 GMT
No, I was hoping that this wouldn't be necessary. But I'll try that now.
Comment by André Fettouhi (A.Fettouhi) - Sunday, 14 March 2010, 08:47 GMT
Yes, that worked. It runs now after cleaning config and etc.
Comment by Vladimir Korsun (amigo) - Sunday, 14 March 2010, 09:06 GMT
Works here without cleaning config file.
Comment by Mahen (mahen) - Sunday, 14 March 2010, 09:09 GMT
It crashed as well when updating to 2.3.0. Worked again when removing the config... I wonder if that's upstream and should be reported so that it doesn't happen to "casual users" for whom it may be a blocker.
Comment by André Fettouhi (A.Fettouhi) - Sunday, 14 March 2010, 09:12 GMT
Well even with a clean config it crashes on me still but it seems happen I activate some specific plugins in amarok. It haven't identified what exactly crashes it yet.
Comment by André Fettouhi (A.Fettouhi) - Sunday, 14 March 2010, 09:29 GMT
It seems like when you activate the "info" applet then amarok also crashes at the next startup. Can anyone confirm this?
Comment by Mahen (mahen) - Sunday, 14 March 2010, 09:48 GMT
Yep, I confirm this ! Well done André !

BTW, then you can just remove ~/.kde4/share/config/amarok_homerc to get it back working.

Then this is an upstream bug that needs to be reported.
