Description:

With nouveau drivers can't set screen resolution, only 640x480.

kms resolution seems to be ok. please remove xorg.conf at all for testing.

Without xorg.conf, can't set screen resolution as before.

Can't start X with testing packages.

You need to update all Xorg packages and the kernel to the ones in testing. Then provide error messages/logs.

I updated all packages, and yet I can not use xorg.
No error messages in Xorg.*.log

please check and post dmesg for all output that belongs to drm initialisation.

I am not sure it can work without xorg.conf , does that pick the nouveau driver ?
In any cases, try with this minimal xorg.conf :
