DetailsDescription:
The kernel perf tool (the userspace tool for Kernel Performance Counters) does not build on the latest kernel (2.6.33). It fails while trying to compile symbol.c , I'm attaching both the build log and a quick fix. Additional info: package affected: kernel26-2.6.33 Steps to reproduce: build the kernel (e.g. from ABS), then cd to linux-2.6.33/tools/perf/ and type make. |

Please file this upstream. As we don't include this tool in our package and don't build it, we don't add patches to fix it either.
