DetailsWould it be possible to have the Arch ISO update itself?
As soon as the ISO is "downloaded" a PHP script runs 'pacman -Syu' to make sure everything is up to date. Then it is archived into an ISO file. That way the Arch ISO is always up to date. I realize that this would be CPU consuming to run pacman -Syu and archiving ti every time someone requests an ISO but I'm sure there could be some sort of way to know if the ISO is up to date. I do not know how the Arch release engineering works so this is just an idea I'd like to get out there. |
