Description:
I just installed the latest version of vlc from packman opensuse 11 repository. vlc crashed every time when I tried to open a flv file. I found the problem is caused by the libavutil* as exactly described in the following link on vlc fourm:

Can you please clarify this a bit? You installed VLC from OpenSuse 11 on your Arch system and it crashes?

Perhaps... but the fact is I still have no idea how to replicate your bug as I can not understand the description.

Was I correct in assuming that you installed a VLC package from OpenSuse 11?
