DetailsDescription:
lirc-utils was removed from vlc dependencies, but not from mplayer dependencies. And If I remove it with pacman -Rd, mplayer doesn't work anymore. It gives this error: mplayer: error while loading shared libraries: liblirc_client.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory But if I use ABS and edit compiling like this: --disable-lirc \ It works without lirc. Only thing I'm not sure is, what would happen if someone would like to use infrared controler. I fear it wouldn't work (as lirc wouldn't be compiled as part of mplayer), but how many of Archers have a infrared controler to control mplayer? Additional info: * package version(s): mplayer: 30526-1 * config and/or log files etc.: In PKGBUILD under ./configure --prefix=/usr \ add --disable-lirc Steps to reproduce: |

I could use ABS to build mplayer without lirc support, but the same goes for those that would need it, if the change would be made...
