Mediactrl is used in a non-neglectable number of packages (including several in AUR) that cannot work to their full extent because support is lacking in the wxpython package. Since mediactrl support is included in wxgtk, it seems that supporting it too on wxpython would no induce any new dependency. Would it be possible to compile the wxpython package with mediactrl support?

took a quick look at this and it seems that using ./configure --enable-mediactrl should be all that it takes to add support for it, I haven't actually tested it though
