DetailsOn my x86_64 machine, rtorrent 0.8.6-2 randomly crashes with an "Illegal instruction" error. As rtorrent is provided as a binary package in [community], and built using the following code in its PKGBUILD :
CXXFLAGS="$CXXFLAGS -fno-strict-aliasing" \ ./configure --prefix=/usr --disable-debug --with-xmlrpc-c || return 1 I guess the packager compiled it with some custom CXXFLAGS (optimizations) my CPU (Pentium 3) doesn't support. Would you please rebuild it without those ? |
