When I installed version 0.4.6-2, the ZynAddSubFX instrument plugin no longer worked. It seems that it is not recognized and even the preset icons in the treeview menu are blank. I rebuilt the package with ABS and that solved the problem. I forgot all about it before reporting the problem.

Today I installed 0.4.6-3 and again ZynAddSubFX no longer works. Again, a rebuild solved the problem.

I'm running x86_64 if that makes any difference. I searched for related bug reports before posting this but was surprised not to find any. I don't see how this could be specific to my system, especially if a rebuild solves the issue, but I would expect this to have been reported previously if it is a common problem.

I can upload recompiled versions for both x86_64 and i686 if you want, but we should try to determine the source of the problem first in case it is related to my system.

Thanks

What requires a rebuild, ZynAddSubFx or lmms?

Tell me, if it works now. I've updated package for x86_64 (0.4.6-4).

@Mateusz
I've just installed lmms 0.4.6-4 and the ZynAddSubFX plugin works. Thank you.

@Dan
Sorry, I thought the "[lmms]" and "ZynAddSubFX plugin" in the title would be clear, but I realize now that I didn't refer to "lmms" by name in the body of the post. As Mateusz correctly concluded, it was indeed lmms, which is independent of the zynaddsubfx package.

Now I just have to wait for upstream to fix the constant crashing.:)
