I installed Archlinux 0.5 and Midnight Commander (which comes with this distro) in my computer.
When I'm running MC on console, and I run a command from it (or just simply press ctrl+o twice) I get segfault error message. This problem disappears, if I run MC from X.

Sorry for not posting to this for so long.. as for your problem, if you don't want the segfault you can disable subshell, rebuild the pkg with ::
--without-subshell

I would add that to the official build, however, with that goes ltos of shell functionality. we are missing a program which mc uses on a true console for C-o called "cons.saver" which is an ugly pkg I don't want to add to arch's db. If you really need the subshell, install it an then everything will work, otherwise, rebuild without the subshell and you should experience no segfualts.
Again, sorry for the long dely.
