Description:

recordmydesktop reports that it is not compiled with Jack support!

Additional info:
* package version(s)

v0.3.8.1

* config and/or log files etc.

Steps to reproduce:

1. start jack

jackd -R -P89 -s -dalsa -dhw:0 -r48000 -p256 -n3

2. start qjackctl to confirm jack is running, then click the "Connect" button to see active Jack connections

3. start recordmydesktop from the command line with the jack options

$ recordmydesktop --use-jack system:capture_1 system:capture_2

output:
recordMyDesktop is not compiled with Jack support!

Possible fix:

After googling around I found this thread on the recordmydesktop sourceforge page

http://sourceforge.net/projects/recordmydesktop/forums/forum/590957/topic/2989612

The last comment indicated that they were able to fix this problem by compiling recordmydesktop with this command:

./configure --enable-jack=yes LIBS="`pkg-config --libs jack`" CFLAGS="`pkg-config --cflags jack` -DHAVE_LIBJACK"

I have not tried it myself, so I can not confirm that this will fix the problem.

I will try to confirm later.
