It would be good if makechrootpkg attempted to copy the downloaded source from the chroot to the working directory if the build fails.

Agree. copying them to the source cache might be even better.

Would be nice if makepkg could download the source before installing all dependencies. It's really annoying if downloading fails after installing several hundreds of megabytes.
