A notification in Gnome informs me:

Session active, not inhibited, screen idle.
If you can see this text, your displayserver is broken and you should notify your distributor.

Everything appears to still be working fine.

Prior to seeing this, I had unplugged my laptop (during which I think it was a while before the screen brightness changed), plugged it back in, and adjusted the screen brightness down from full. Shortly after the screen blanked for a split-second, and this notification was present in the notification area.

Installed programs include:
xorg-server 1.7.5-1
gnome-desktop 2.28.2-1
