Description:
This is about the community/arch-wiki-docs package, but I think it's more of a documentation issue. The online wiki pages are neat indeed, but this offline wiki package fails miserably in comparison.
In the get.sh script I see wget is used to retrieve every single page from the arch wiki:
wget -q "http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php?title=$TITLE&printable=yes" -O "$TARGETDIR/$ID.html"
IMHO, this is no way the most appropriate way to fetch those pages/data. Instead, why not _build_ the pages just the way the official online pages were built? Though I'm no expert at this, I think one only needs to adjust several settings and export an offline wiki using the same method used to build the online wiki. This way, the CSS styles should be easily included and honored, so us offline wiki readers can read the wiki just like reading the online one.
Additionally, what that `wget` line bugs most is that it really looks backwards -- like a script kiddy hack (no offense). Since the arch-wiki-docs package is an official package too, it deserves some official look and feel :P, plus a more "professional" way of its production.

Additional info:
* package version(s): arch-wiki-docs 20091221-1

Steps to reproduce: install this package and open some page from it; preferrably compare it to the online page.

I think all I can do is putting printable versions with css

example: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php?title=Arch_Build_System_%28%D0%A0%D1%83%D1%81%D1%81%D0%BA%D0%B8%D0%B9%29&printable=yes

not sure if it is more readable.

Thanks for the quick reply.
Yes, it is more readable for me, although it's still far from the normal pages :P
Is it not possible to use the same scripts used to produce the online pages for this package?

I always liked the way the offline pages looked and worked.

The reason is the main page ( /usr/share/doc/arch-wiki/html/index.html ) provides a great interface to those with screen readers. I know a few blind users, and they hate trying to read wikis. Using that front page you can just use _links_ search function, and your all good.

Just saying, think about that before making changes.

I'm fine with it, since I am now able to use Stylish in Firefox to style those pages.
