If you try unmounting a disk and it's in use, palimpsest can use lsof to tell you what process is using your disk.

Additional comments about closing:  Fixed in svn for udisks. Won't implement this in devicekit-disks anymore.

i've installed lsof and gnome-disk-utility but if i try to unmount a busy device the dialog that came out is the same....

either with 2.28 that with 2.29.90

You're actually right about lsof. gnome-disk-utility doesn't call lsof itself, but udisks does. This should be added as (opt?)dependency to udisks. As lsof is quite small and doesn't pull in other dependencies, I don't think it's a problem to add it to depends.

aah, if is udisks that can call lsof, IMHO i think that must be put in OPTDEPs of udisks..
