DetailsFor force feedback and other strange rules for devices that need special permissions you need to enable ACL. Now usually [GKX]DM enable this automatically, but when logging in from console without those installed you won't have the proper permissions. To enable this you need to add the following line:
session optional pam_ck_connector.so to /etc/pam.d/login. However this depends on consolekit which is in [extra]. So I believe the best action would be to leave it commented with a note mentioning it's usage. For example: # Enable this with consolekit installed to have ACL handle non-standard udev permissions #session optional pam_ck_connector.so This is very minor, but would help people hitting themselves on this issue possibly. |
