DetailsAfter an update of prboom recently, the game will start, but exit after a few seconds. It doesn't matter if i'm viewing the options, started a game or do nothing. It just exits the game with most noticably the error: Exiting on signal: signal 8 . Before the update the game ran fine. Googling around shows that both Ubuntu and Fedora can have the same problem. A solution should be to: compile with the option --disable-i386-asm . I'm not sure whether this is an "upstream" thing (since other distro's show the same error) or a package thing (since it could be (perhaps) resolved with a compiler option).
Additional info: * Prboom version 2.0.5-3 * Running on an Acer Aspire One netbook (A110, Intel Atom) Steps to reproduce: 1.) Start prboom (for example from terminal) 2.) Wait for about 5 seconds 3.) Game quits, going back to desktop. Terminal shows the error. Regards, Rolf Deenen, a content Archlinux user. |
