/arch/setup end up with: chroot: cannot run command 'passwd': no such file or directory after selecting "set password" in config menu. Additional info: - used installation medium: archlinux-2009.08-core-i686.iso (torrent) - command passwd can be found by 'which' cmd Steps to reproduce: Start installation and set password in config menu. |

Did you actually install archlinux before skipping to
configuration? If the shadow package isn't installed, you can't
set the root password from system configuration either.

Yes, I installed base packages. However config files were empty.

I tried installation again and found out that grub installation
failed because of shared /boot partition. Although process failed
there was no explicit warning so I just hit continue.
