DetailsDescription: aif tries to save users from writing their network settings twice, but does it incorrectly.
Additional info: 2009.08 FTP install CD * config and/or log files etc. Non-DHCP network configuration Steps to reproduce: 1. Boot the Arch Linux 2009.08 FTP install CD 2. Setup Network, do not use DHCP 3. Continue with the installation 4. Configure System: a popup asks if you want to use the same network settings used during installation in /etc/rc.conf, answer yes 5. Edit /etc/rc.conf 6. See the eth0="static configuration here" commented out and eth0="dhcp" not commented out |
