Myself and blasse have been testing Firefox with TraceMonkey
enabled on the x86_64 architecture (3.6.x) for some time
now, and it is extremely stable.
We have a patch in the firefox-pgo-beta package: http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=22919 that enables 64-bit TraceMonkey, and I recommend it be applied to [extra] XULRunner :) The code is all there, the patch simply enables it. Please, test and see for yourself! The speedup is very noticeable and welcome :) |

i think that is better the let it as the mozilla developers
intended to be. they know better why is not enabled by default.
Mozilla doesn't provide x86_64 builds either. They see no need for
a 64bit browser.
