Hmmm.. Now there's no error, but when I try to access the high scores, it says "No high scores have been recorded"...

just seen the note in NEWS of gweled:

- almost fixed the hiscore files install bug (it's hardcoded to /var/games now, if your Gnome install is different, then move the 2 files where appropriate). I'll gladly accept patches to the install scripts to fix that definitely, thanks :-)

hmm ... i straced the app and here the results of it, if i want to see the highscores:

open("/opt/gnome/var/games/gweled.easy.scores", O_RDONLY) = 17
open("/opt/gnome/var/games/gweled.easy.scores", O_RDONLY) = 17
open("/home/damir/.icons/default/cursors/xterm", O_RDONLY) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
open("/home/damir/.icons/default/index.theme", O_RDONLY) = 17
open("/usr/share/icons/default/cursors/xterm", O_RDONLY) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
open("/usr/share/pixmaps/default/cursors/xterm", O_RDONLY) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
open("/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/icons/default/cursors/xterm", O_RDONLY) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
open("/home/damir/.icons/tuxcursor/cursors/xterm", O_RDONLY) = 17

what looks very much that it knows, where the file is ... i played in "timed" and in "normal" mode but i'm only able to see the highscores, if the settings are set to "normal" ... so i guess, this is a upstream bug

Damir, I don't see a bug in here anymore, the highscores work fine now.
What I would like though is that you change the prefix of the game to /opt/gnome instead of /usr, because it depends on a gnome library and writes the scores in the /opt/gnome/var dir.
