X freezes after calling `startx` using a VIA Unichrome VN986 chipset.

I tried this one: http://bugs.archlinux.org/task/12311 but it didn't work for me.

Attached is my xorg.conf (which differs from the original `Xorg -configure` generated file only regarding the "XaaNoImageWriteRect" option) and my last Xorg.0.log.

I don't know about VIA, but can you use xf86-video-unichrome or does not work for your card?

The `unichrome` driver is for the CLE266, KM400, P4M800 and K8M800 chipsets only, not for VN896/P4M900.

Ok, I got it working, it's very slow, though.

Apparently hal refused to start and I didn't notice that so X didn't work properly.

I think this bug can be marked as invalid.
