Description: Maybe for next release can add acl support for /dev/vboxdrv (needs udev >= 150-2 for work, see why at  FS#17814 ) with the help of consolekit (add as optdepends). In this way there is no need to add the user to group vboxusers, since all users logged in via console are always authorized.

-KERNEL=="vboxdrv", NAME="vboxdrv", OWNER="root", GROUP="vboxusers", MODE="0660"
+KERNEL=="vboxdrv", NAME="vboxdrv", OWNER="root", GROUP="vboxusers", MODE="0660", ENV{ACL_MANAGE}="1"

NAME, OWNER, MODE are redundant, since the device is always created with the name "vboxdrv" as owner "root" with mode "0660".

So the rule can looks like this, with compatibility for users that don't use consolekit:
KERNEL=="vboxdrv", GROUP="vboxusers", ENV{ACL_MANAGE}="1"

Additional info:
virtualbox-ose-3.1.2-2
