DetailsDescription:
When I try to speak to someone using skype-2.1.0.81-2, the receiving party hears "digital" noise (my voice being converted into incomprehensible digital-sounding noise) instead of what I am saying. Makes skype unusable. Downgrading to the previous version, skype-2.1.0.47-2, fixes the problem. You can probably not fix this, skype being proprietary and all, but I thought I should note it here. Open alsamixer and set your mic volume to have dB gain = 0 , this fixed strange noises here (though not with this upgrade).
