Details

When abs runs for the first time, the tarball method is much faster than the rsync method. Abs should detect an empty /var/abs and switch to tarball mode by default in that case.

Patched to detect first run and default to tarball mode. Patch also implements  FS#17999

Also:

$ABSROOT contains a "local" folder by default.
