Detailsthe update to samba 3.4.4 seems to introduce a new dependency. After the update the service wouldn't restart on my server.
Error given is: /usr/sbin/smbd: error while loading shared libraries: libdm.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory libdm.so.0 belongs to package dmapi. Installing this package (and a reboot) fixed the problem. But this is only affecting samba 3.4.4 on i686. See: http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=688819#p688819 |
