DetailsThe current wxgtk package is patched the gtk2 pactch and the cleanup patch. The wxgtk development version natively support s gtk2. It is actually quite stable, and some newer application (ie: wired) are built on this version. I think Arch should use the devel version of wxgtk that officially supports gtk2 instead of patching the stable that officially doesn't. Also, there is no way to include applications that require the development version of wxgtk into the repositories.
