DetailsGTK2 is patched using sed for the location of gnome icon themes. Every gnome icon theme, except "gnome-icon-theme" is installed in /usr, not in /opt/gnome.
The gnome icon themes nowadays are Freedesktop.org compatible and can work with desktops like xfce4 too. Many icon themes depend on the GNOME default theme that comes with gnome-icon-theme, so I think this should be the best: - remove the patching/sed'ing from the gtk2 PKGBUILD - recompile gnome-icon-theme with a /usr prefix |

Please note that many gnome apps are putting additional icons in /opt/gnome/share/pixmaps, so that directory shouldn't go.
