Description:
Mouse and keyboard will intermittently lock up. The only way that I can recover from this is to use the magic system request keys. When this happens music will continue playing and the numb lock light continues to work.
Looking at "Xorg.0.log.old" after reboot reports a "Segmentation fault at address 0x4".

Had similar issue earlier but with that neither the magic keys or the numb lock would work and if music was playing, it would stutter. That was resolved my disabling "KMS".

Same problem here but with an Intel Chip but no segmentation fault in the logs.
Problems just occur to me if power supply is on battery.

I upgraded xorg-server to 1.7.4, and the issue went...

Problem just happened again. Attaching another Xorg log file in case it helps. I noticed that the last couple of times that this happened was when I was checking my email with kontact. In each occurrence it locked up when I clicked on a message to open it up.

Please test the testing packages with either KMS or UMS.

It's been over a month now without any problems so at this point I'd rather not try the 'testing packages'. I think it might have been something with my 'Kontact' program. I reinstalled it and it's been fine ever since.
