we had this issue in the past and it could be temporarly solved by using a different theme. anyway you should confirm if the problem also exists in the vanilla OOo-3.2.0 pkg and then report it either to OOo issuezilla or if only go-oo is affected in the Novell tracker.

I'm not sure how, but I think this problem fixed itself.

With the new KDE SC 4.4 packages, I played with some options in the default Oxygen theme - that may qualify as messing with the theme, I guess - and a few days later, I noticed that I could not reproduce this bug anymore. This seems to have happened on all my machines (all updated to 4.4 about the same time) - two 32 bit machines (one laptop and one work desktop) and one 64-bit machine (home desktop). That's a fairly wide range of installations, right?

I tried first nuking the .openoffice directory and then, nuking the directory, removing and reinstalling go-openoffice. The problem doesn't come back.

Since I can't reproduce the problem anywhere, unless someone else can, I think it's safe to close this bug.
