The whole system is up-to-date now, I did a fresh install 02.01.2010. ( + pacman -Syyu against ftp.archlinux.org; xorg-server 1.7.3; xf86-video-intel 2.9.x)

Could you try to reinstall xorg-server? It looks like you're missing some extensions here. The unresolved symbols are caused by extensions that aren't loaded. Either they're not present on your system, or they can't load for other reasons.

@JGC:
I reinstalled xorg-server and the whole xorg-group, but the error is still the same.

how do you start your X? what desktop are you running? can you try plain "startx" from shell. dmesg output might also be helpful.

@AndyRTR:
I usely start X from tty1 with xinit. The errors are the same if I start with xinit or startx and with ~/.xinit or without ~/.xinit.
dmesg output attached.

I'm sorry but I can't any longer help in solving this bug.
I am sad, but I have installed Ubuntu today. Maybe I try it again in some month.
