If one is to install totem and totem-plugin packages, one will be told at launch that the BBC iPlayer plugin could not be enabled. Additional info: both totem and totem-plugin version 2.28.5-1. the errors look as so: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/lib/totem/plugins/iplayer/iplayer.py", line 6, in <module> import iplayer2 File "/usr/lib/totem/plugins/iplayer/iplayer2.py", line 15, in <module> import feedparser ImportError: No module named feedparser ** (totem:3848): WARNING **: Could not load plugin iplayer ** (totem:3848): WARNING **: Error, impossible to activate plugin 'BBC iPlayer' Fatal Python error: PyEval_SaveThread: NULL tstate Aborted Steps to reproduce: pacman -S totem totem-plugin launch totem get told. -- The problem can be solved by installing httplib2 (only available at the httplib2 site, and in AUR), feedparser & beautifulsoup. These should probably be dependencies or optional dependencies of totem-plugin. |
