Detailsi installed chromium from extra (4.0.249.30-2) and i set it up as default web browser. Whenever i restart chromium it always keep asking.
I also tried to set it from both kde systemsettings and xdg-settings from terminal with the same negative result. Actually, it seems that chromium is my default browser(for example i click a link from kmail and chromium opens) but this cannot be "understood" by the application. |

Reason for closing: Not a bug
Additional comments about closing: Due to the way chromium is currently built it expects the user to be using a DE. For those of us using WMs, you have to set export DE="whatever" in our bashrc. If you want to see this behavior changed, please petition the upstream devs.

The easy workaround is to put:
export DE="gnome"
into your .bashrc
