Do *not* rm -rf /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/extensions/libglx.so.
just
cp /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/extensions/libglx.so. /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/extensions/libglx.so.1.0.4496
Your package works like a charm for me and I personally need to have a prepackaged version of the driver at least.
