rm -rf /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/extensions/libglx.so.
mv /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/extensions/libglx.so. /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/extensions/libglx.so.1.0.4496

Update.
Do *not* rm -rf /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/extensions/libglx.so.
just
cp /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/extensions/libglx.so. /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/extensions/libglx.so.1.0.4496

upon further investigation and discussion with other deelopers the package has been removed from the trees and it is recommended that users use nvidia's binary installer to install nvidia drivers. the installer provides more benefits than our package could possibly cover.

Sarrah, you did a good job. That package was almoast perfect. The only glitch was that shorter filename for libglx.
Your package works like a charm for me and I personally need to have a prepackaged version of the driver at least.
