Arch already has excellent support for LVM. I run two machines with LVM2. In order to make AL even more server friendly, what about adding bonding support? It shouldn't involve too much work, just an extra if block in etc/rc.d/network, an official ifenslave package, and one or two lines in rc.conf.

There is a user contribution that does it here:
http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?t=3082

...but it is a little unpolished and is not official.

I think this would be a useful addition (especially for people like me, who like Arch for fast servers) that wouldn't take too much time from the devteam.

Thanks for the consideration!

Additional comments about closing:  Okay, I've added bonding support to initscripts, and there is a new ifenslave package in Current. The bonding support will show up when the next initscripts package is built.
