Prior to version 1.6.2, it was possible to pipe metalinks to aria2c on the command line using heredocs, which is what powerpill did. Versions after 1.6.2. no longer had this feature so I posted a bug report on aria2's SourceForge page. The developer was actually unaware of this feature but has posted a patch to re-enable it.

I have tested this patch using the current version of aria2 on Arch and it works as expected. I am therefore requesting that this patch be applied to the current package while waiting for the next official release which should include the changes.
