mkvtoolnix (2.9.9-1 in extra, 2.9.9-1 in testing) is compiled with the GUI included and the matching dependecy for wxgtk set, which makes it depend on gtk2.
For people using mkvtoolnix from the commandline this adds unnecessary bloat.

Please package mkvtoolnix-gui separate from mkvtoolnix itself, like debian does for example (http://packages.debian.org/nl/sid/mkvtoolnix-gui and http://packages.debian.org/nl/sid/mkvtoolnix).
Disabling the GUI can be done with the configure switches --diable-gui --disable-wxwidgets

you could use abs and rebuild yourself.

Currently I use a PKGBUILD to build it myself, but since most people use mkvtoolnix from the CLI (or through a script) it would be nice/better to provice a gui and a non-gui package.
Btw. Fedora does so as well, see http://archive.fedoraproject.org/pub/archive/fedora/linux/extras/5/i386/repoview/mkvtoolnix-gui.html

Maybe, I'll do that for the next release.
