Description:

I do not know if this is a bug or a feature. xrdb used to work well with URxvt*cutchars, but now it does not.

Additional info:
* package version(s)
* config and/or log files etc.


Steps to reproduce:

Put this in your .Xdefaults

URxvt*cutchars: `"()'*<>[]{|}

and run

xrdb ~/.Xdefaults

the following works:

URxvt*cutchars: "`\"()'*<>[]{|}"

opensuse works with URxvt*cutchars: `"()'*<>[]{|} but that's because they apply a patch which they didn't submit upstream. This should be closed.
