while using kdeplasma-applets-networkmanger and networkmanager-pptp, on recent update network-manager-applet install as depends.
Why this package depend on network-manager-applet instead of networkmanager?

There is no compile problem without network-manager-applet, and during networkmanager-pptp was in AUR, it works well without network-manager-applet.

Additional info:
* package version(s) 0.7.2-1

This task depends upon

The option for libexecdir isn't correctly, so it installs in a different directory than was specified in the PKGBUILD. Looking at the source, I don't think the applet is a requirement.

you have more possibility than me to test this on kde environment. does it require gnome-keyring to function?

I remove the depend of network-manager-applet and compile it from pkgbuild, kdeplasma applet networkmanager works well.
Actually gnome-keyring is required by network-manager-applet, cause password is stored in different place between gnome and kde.
KDE use kwallet to store the password and GNOME use gnome-keyring to store the password, networkmanager doesn't provide a way to store the password, but only interface to connect.
