DetailsDescription:
The hpcups filter segmentation faults when you try and run it from the shell, cups reports: "/usr/lib/cups/filter/hpcups failed" Downgrading to the hplip 3.9.8-2 package allows me to print again. I have an hp psc 1315xi printer, it uses the hp psc 1310 ppd. I didn't notice until now because I rarely print anything. Additional info: * package version(s) 3.9.10-1 - Doesn't work 3.9.8-2 - Works * config and/or log files etc. attached There's thread in forums: Pacman & Package Upgrade Issues >> hplip - hpcups segmentation fault Steps to reproduce: Try to print w/ my hp psc 132- |

In file prnt/hpcups/HPCupsFilter.cpp, function HPCupsFilter::StartPrintJob, there is a line m_JA.job_id = atoi(argv[1]); that will fail.
Under normal conditions /usr/lib/cups/filter/hpcups is called without arguments?
I suggest to report to upstream if this is not already reported.
