the hindi translations seem not be released upstream with the 2.1.0 version of koffice. I'll force a downgrade of the package the 2.0.2 and check the rest of the translations if there are more with the same problem. Suppose I also have to write a failsafe in my script so it cancels on these fake packages the kde ftp server sometimes sends.

You might want to do a split PKGBUILD that would do all langpacks. That's what is done for OO and KDE and might be more conveniant. Check Pierre's createPKGBUILD script in kde-l10n svn for an idea on how to automate it.
yes I was planning to include the new language packs, though I doubt much people will use them
